Nation

In the rise of a nation,
a statement of our expectation
is written down then swept away
by where we are in life today

In the chants of desperation
there rings a cry for inspiration
for spiritual value beyond one's worth,
for policy within the boundaries of truth

As we go through the days confusion
 meeting goals of vast illusion,
we organize our strategies,
To be the best, at what we please

We create the God in which we entrust
Our worship of golden tendencies
And convince ourselves it's as we must
for this there is no need of dignity

what we have lost in blind ambition
is life's only guiding intuition
what we have gained is all illusion
And only gives way to more confusion

Teach the children the simple truth
There are only ten Commandments
All the rest were made to please
By God's treasured, earth `s, inhabitants
