Emotions Horseman
From the fog, into the light, onto day, away from night
Rides emotions horsemen .
His thoughts are collective of wants and desires,
to clear the way, and set forth the objective
but need is the now and nothing else matters

The dust below hooves is stirred with excitement
as the motion of clarity advances, his conviction
Not without discipline will his quest be successful
not without rest, will he live up to the need

He stops to gather his bearing and thought,
the map in his head is cast in illusion
no greater confusion, could riddle his planning,
than to ponder the right and the wrong of his path

So onward he rides to look for the something
that nothing in thought could ever explain…
emotionally driven he searches for comfort
that can not be found in the folds of his brain

The answers he seeks are always around him
though they seem to confound him when he needs them the most
His illusion filled map will always mislead him
in deed he will follow the ways of his ghost

Dare he perceive that it's all within him
while in pursuit of another safe place
his ghost will be there where ever he goes
painfully written all over his face.

Unless of course
he stops… long enough…
to let reality focus his thoughts
and thus… would be …
the demise…you see…
of the need for Emotions Horseman
